Summer 2008
Welcome
back to Sieraków ! It is there, in this beautiful lakeside
resort, that two consecutive Program-Bell holiday courses
are going to take place. Again we have the pleasure
to invite you to a friendly Energotour centre, situated
deep in the heart of the Park Krajobrazowy, where far
from daily grind and din, surrounded by silence and
magnificent nature, lessons will be run by nice and
friendly teachers. The course, although intensive,
is run in a natural, free from stress way. Most teachers
are native speakers of English, thus forcing you to
use this language also in situations outside the classroom.
The courses have been planned for nine days, following
the schedule below:
10:00a.m.
- 1:00 p.m. - morning lessons in groups
3:30
p.m. - 5:00 p.m. - individual self-study lessons supervised
by teachers
7:00
p.m. - 9:00 p.m. - evening activities with party games,
quizzes and workshops
On
Friday, the day of arrival, there are tests and diagnostic
interviews. On Sunday, the day of departure, there
are only two hours of lessons.
Sieraków
is situated about 80 km west of Poznań on the way to
Szczecin. In the area there are lots of post-glacial
lakes, and among them nature conservation areas full
of ancient trees, some of which are four metres in
circumference. Interesting birds such as herons, cormorants,
cranes and others may be spotted in those woods.
Employees
of companies from all over Poland, as well as private
individuals have so far taken part in our training
courses. We are immensely pleased that many of them
return to our courses.

Energo-Tour
is a modern leisure centre picturesquely situated on
Lake Jaroszewskie in the heart of the Park Krajobrazowy
Sieraków. The centre has modern air-conditioned lecture
halls, and an air-conditioned restaurant, a common
room with a fireplace, sauna, billiards and a bar.
In the centre there are 25 single studio rooms with
bathroom and 4 double rooms of the same high standard.
There are also five suites.
As
far as the board is concerned the offer is for three
meals a day plus a coffee break.
The
cost of a 9-day course is 1790 PLN.
The
course
The
course has been devised in such a way as to encompass
only 5 workdays, starting with supper on Friday and
ending with lunch on Sunday.
Aims
of the course:
- to
overcome language barriers
- to
acquire fluency in English
- to
study practical language useful both in professional
as well as social contexts
- to
practice language for specifically professional uses
(Business English)
The
course:
- is
equivalent to a conventional intensive three-month
course
- provides
a natural contact with native speakers of English
from Great Britain and the US thus helping you to
overcome language barriers
- helps
to remove stress from your conversations in English
- trains
your ear to natural British and American pronunciation
- develops
your overall language skills
- improves
your fluency through interactive activities
- lets
you devote the entire day to the study of English.
The
classes in the course are arranged in such a way as
to provide you with plenty of opportunities to actively
practice all the language skills. Beside standard teaching,
the programme involves making interviews, recording
radio programmes, shows of British and American films
in original versions, an evening of party games in
English, as well as solving a murder mystery. An important
element of the course programme is two days, during
which the only accepted language is English without
any exceptions, even in private conversations.
A
minimal number of participants in the course is 15
people.
